Pineapple Reticule

Hand knitted Regency pineapple reticule with glass beads made after an original instruction and inspired by originals.

Pineapples were all the rage in 18th and 19th Century and there are many existing reticules from that time.

The reticule closes with drawstrings which are embellished with beaded tassels.
It is made of cotton yarn, lined with yellow/goldish cotton satin and glass beads are knitted in.

!! Please be aware that this pineapple reticule is made to order !!
It takes up to 6 weeks to finish it!

Quality is more important than quantity to me, so please be aware that I need time to handknit this lovely reticule for you!

There are so many beautiful misers purses from the 19th/early 20th Centuty out there and mine are either made after or inspired by originals, made after originals in my private collection or are made after original instructions.

Most of the originals we can admire nowadays are made of silk and glass beads or cut steel beads. These misers purses are often too damaged over time to use them anymore. 

If you want a special accessoires for your Reeneactment or Living History adventures, this is a must!

My ready-made Misers Purses are made of cotton yarn and are embellished with glass beads.
I take orders too and can make one in silk yarn if you prefer - just drop me a line!

Regency Silk Reticule

Three different styles of beautiful silk reticules inspired by originals and fashion plates from the Regency era can be found in my shop.

I´m proud to use 100% silk which is woven in Austria - in parts on old weaving machines -  for the reticules.

They are interlined with cotton satin, all visible seams are handsewn and as a finishing touch it has 4 or 5 matching handmade tassels, pearls and drawstrings.
